HARVEY
After a 3 year re-build undertaking and the reason for joining the club. Harvey built in 1961 was originally from new an estate vehicle used by the Lord of the Manor. It was then purchased by a Wiltshire Garage and had the Harvey Frost crane added. For many years it was used as recovery until rust condemned it to the garage rear yard. There it remained for some 10 years until being aware of it the owner eventually permitted me to take it away for a small sum.
It was then a labour of love or something like that as the chassis broke in half as it was unloaded from the trailer. On the positive side the vehicle was original under many paint layers. Original engine, gearbox and axles etc. A full nut and bolt re-build followed and Harvey went on the road again in 2006.
Since then A second Series 2 has been put back on the road my 1960 88" rag top having been fitted with new chassis, together with engine, gearbox and axle rebuild, I decided to re-fit the bodywork as this was in original well used Pastel Green and showing all the signs of a 1960 Land Rover.
