The Series 2 Club is dedicated to the preservation of all Land- Rover models built between 1958 and 1971. This includes the 2a and 2b forward control models as well as all 2 and 2a models of the standard Land-Rover.
The club was founded 25 years ago by a small group of enthusiasts who recognised the need for a club for like-minded owners.
In the autumn of 1989 the club became a limited company by guarantee. This is a mechanism which gives the club legal status and indemnity from any financial liability. Since those early days the club has continued to grow and develop into what it is today. We currently have around 1200 members, spread all over the world, but mainly concentrated in the UK.
Our quarterly magazine, "Built Two Last", is published and sent to all members’ home addresses. The magazine includes technical, humorous, events and hints and tips articles as well as buy and sell columns. In addition we have this website and a active online discussion forum which helps to keep members and non-members in day-to-day contact with each other.
The Club is organised into a network of regional areas with organisers who co-ordinate attendance at local events and liaise with larger event organisers to obtain entry to these through the club. Events organised by the Club include green laning, social evenings, camping weekends and road runs. Our events are geared towards the whole family being able to join in, all of which are advertised in the magazine and on the website.
We have a well stocked club shop selling various items of Series 2 regalia with badges, stickers, T-shirts, mugs and glasses etc all of which have Land-Rover or Series 2 Club logos.
