1) Pressures should be checked & adjusted monthly, when the tyres are cold (first thing in the morning, pressures will be about 2 psi higher at running temperature & if exposed to bright sunshine.) Take this opportunity to check the tyres for damage, cuts & cracks. Remove any stones wedged in the treads.

2) Replace the valve caps. Do not allow dirt/grit to get into the valve.

3) Any unusual pressure loss (about 3psi) should be investigated.

4) In the unlikely event of driving on sand dunes, reducing pressures to about 7 psi has proved beneficial.

5) If you reduce your tyre pressures, make sure you have the means to re-inflate the tyres back to the correct road pressures!

6) Always check spare wheel, so that it is ready for service when required.

7) Have your wheels/tyres properly balanced .
