Series 2 Club Information

The Series 2 Club is dedicated to the preservation of all Land Rover models built between 1958 and 1971. This includes the 2a and 2b forward control models as well as all 2 and 2a models of the standard Land Rover.

The club was founded 25 years ago by Ross Floyd with small group of enthusiasts in the South West.

In the autumn of 1989 the club became a limited company by guarantee. This is a mechanism which gives the club legal status and indemnity from financial liability. Since those early days the club has continued to grow and develop into what it is today. Over the years membership has steadily grown to around 1800 members, spread all over the world, but mainly concentrated in the UK.

Our quarterly magazine, "Built Two Last", is published and sent to all members’ home addresses. The magazine includes technical, restoration, travel, shows, events and hints & tips articles. In addition we have this website and a active online discussion forum, Facebook and Twitter feeds which help to keep members and non-members updated in all matters Series 2.

The Club is organised into a network of Regional Areas with Area Representatives who co-ordinate attendance at local events and liaise with larger event organisers to obtain entry to these through the club. Events organised by the Club include green laning, social evenings, camping weekends and road runs. Our events are geared towards the whole family being able to join in, all of which are advertised in the magazine and on the website/forum/Facebook/Twitter. Club Officials manage and organise the various services the club offers to members. Overseeing the management and development of the Club is a Board of Directors.

We have a well stocked Club Shop selling various items of Series 2 regalia with badges, stickers, T-shirts, mugs and glasses etc all of which have Land-Rover or Series 2 Club logos - ordering is available online through this website.

Through our Vehicle Registrations Office we can help reclaim original registration numbers or age related numbers and provide evidence of build dates for Historic Vehicle status and MoT exemptions.
