Hi,

Many years ago, one of the custom car magazines suggested that there was an opportunity to make a "red velvet Chevrolet"

They were discussing a new (?) system of flock spraying. I suspect that I have seen trailer caravans finished in "flock spray".

I suggest it would be a good "finish" for Series in-door panels. I understand that it is very durable  ... unless you touch it before the resin sets.

Does anybody know more than I do?

I don't know more than you, but I remember a custom car attending one of the "Anglia Drag Racing and Custom Car" club meetings, which was flocked all over!
That would have been late 1970s early 1980s.

The same system of application is used by Railway Modellers, called Static Grass!

We saw a flock lined RaRo at Billing many years ago, my 9 year old mimicked Austin Powers by saying
"It's  a pimpmobile Nigel!"  :-X
