Wallowed about in a very low tide (using wetshoes and a dinghy, not in the S2), recovering/removing corroded mooring chains, resetting anchors, and hunting for lost treasures on the sea bed.
Then, at high tide, finally got around to using the new removable front-mounted towing ball attachment on the S2. Works like a charm.

Re-skinned the second door. It didn't go quite as smoothly as the first one but I'll have to wait for the sealant to set so I can remove the clamps and check it properly. I also started on the large pile of parts that need angle grinding so I can paint them, including the bulkhead and fuel tanks.

(I filled the fuel tanks with water whilst grinding them)

Change the cracked exhaust manifold.  Some luxury with brass nuts. After test drive, OK.

I used the 'quote' facility which shows what you submitted.
While you inserted Image tags, they referenced an image on your own PC (the three consecutive diagonal strokes).
If you want to post that image (without storing it externally) you will have to 'attach' it to your posting.
Probably best to put a single line of text in your post, just to guide readers to what you think is special about the image contents.

Regards.

Use the "Quote" option over on the right hand menu bar to see what I did to post your image.

Wasn't today, was yesterday but still counts I think...

Went along to the Surrey and Sussex area pub meet at the Bull Inn near Henfield. Good collection of vehicles and friendly people all talking Land Rovers, what more could you need....  :first

Anyone in the area who is undecided and hasn't yet joined us, please do, its a good evening out.

Craig.

Last night and in the preceding evenings and weekends of July....re-did the brake pipes on the rear axle as they were not right (see my previous month photo, too low).
Fitted a new rear prop shaft.
Discovered front o/s brake cylinder seized on leading shoe. Replaced both front cylinders. Fitted new shoes and flexi-pipes. Considered changing from CB to CV... :brakes
De rusted front drums and bottom suspension plates in a bath of Deox. Painted.
Replaced my front springs with some I bought in December and reconditioned between then and now.
New front shocks. Replaced one incorrect U bolt on the o/s front axle.
Front and rear wheel bearings de-oiled and greased. New seals.
Removed seized nut on hub stud that fell out. Welded stud back on.
Cleaned and refitted FWHs.
Bled the brakes again.

All this for a deadline of 28th July...and still a bit to do!

Hope I make it!

starting to lose my mind, then I realise the contact had worn away, doh :thud

Had the light switch jam on Friday so removed and stripped it (as well as a  couple of spares). Found that the early prs’s have a few differences to the later ones, and the prs3’s are different again.

All refitted and working nicely again😎

Series day today.

Stuck my S2 sticker on the windscreen.
Fitted my new (correct) fuel sender after finally sourcing one a many months ago.
Fitted a new battery.
Fitted a cigarette socket.
Fitted the under seat tray I bought months ago.
Cleaned all the black oil out of the transmission brake and adjusted it. It works now.
Checked my nuts.
Checked the brake lines while foot on the pedal and bled the brakes again.
Checked the fluids.
Swept the back out for camping gear.

Nearly ready for Thursday!
