Time to fill the potholes..... 2 x 1.5 ton loads so far and I'm still 50 yards short of reaching the gate  :thud :thud

Collected from the quarry 20mm gravel is £25 a ton. A tad cheaper than B&Qs wee bags !!

^^^ Yep, not sure why, although the hinges are a bit bent which may lift the flap a tad.

repaired and fitted the 2 early lucas wiper motors the other day.

1 wouldn't turn at all, so took it completely apart and got it turning, then attatched to windscreen, then the wiper didn't want to move.

back off and apart, turns out the solder connection was barely hanging on, tapped it with my nail and it fell off, resoldered, now working like real machines :RHD

Not my Landrover but my first shot at doing an Inspection for Peter..... An Australian import assembled by "Pressed Metal" in Sydney, Australian licence made Stromberg carb.....and NO rust !
The black paint still there on a lot of the chassis, the chassis number easily legible but on the rear spring hanger not the dumb-iron....

I'm no slightly jealous, I'm very jealous. Pics below are of an 86" Australian import I inspected for the LRSOC last year. The chassis number on that wasn't where I expected it either (on top of the LH chassis rail).

As found - unwashed or touched in case DVAL wanted to inspect it...

Grover was completely rust free except for one place, LH leg/horn, and it has been fixed.
