An idle question in this hot weather…….
« on: August 10, 2022, 04:00:55 PM »

Do the Club’s Servers experience any problems in this hot weather?  I’m aware many Servers are in temperature-controlled rooms, but I’ve heard recent discussions about air-conditioning units here struggling in the recent hot spell.
Evidently, these conditions are beyond the normal operating specification…..

The club's servers are in a very bespoke data centre (not some Micky Mouse outfit on an industrial estate somewhere) with all mod cons, plus back up.

The whole lot is mirrored in another data centre in the UK.

If I told you more I'd have to shoot you.

Rest assured we have nothing to worry about.

Hi Kev,

Grass should not be used to stuff a punctured tyre, as grass cannot maintain 25psi.

By a similar token, wedging a door open, with a chair, is likely to produce varying results ... but we are working on it.
