Bought and collected a 1969 11a lightweight from Shropshire.
It’s not very original and in quite a bad way, so not quite sure what I’m going to do with it now!

Right on the border, not far from Welshpool.
It’s not been used for at least three years and needs quite a bit of work to return it to original spec, not to mention a replacement bulkhead£££ :agh

Removed the rear spring shackle plates - upper bolts were seized, and showed signs of the bush rubbing on them. Stripped down, greased.

Annoying squeak gone :-*

Took Legless the SIIA diesel to the local Independant to have the timing chain renewed.

(These days I often pay someone to do the jobs I used to do myself :-[).

First reports are that the excessive smoking on idle has been cured.

Once a new thermostat is fitted I'm hoping to get it back and drive it smoke-free (and warm in the cab) for the first time since I've had it. :-*

Dear all I am trying to trace my Land Rover MYA482E which I bought in 1967. For many years there was no trace but it has now appeared on the DVLA web sight. It has a history and I would love to contact the owner. I will be in Folkstone for the Last Overland homecoming.  Ian
