Forum changes
« on: August 13, 2019, 05:17:57 AM »

I have some queries about New Forum layout which I assume and hoped is about improving and ironing outcome of the issues.
I haven't seen anything on the Officers/Reps Forum about the planning.
I notice that there is no Members only Section, which if that is the case, is relevant as it means that all pages are available for public consumption, which carries an advisory therefore to all contributors!
Equally I can't see a Community Chest, which may be because some area weren't using it.

Your account does not show that you are an S2c member.

If you look at the post ‘calling all S2c members’, Alan is requesting membership numbers in order to upgrade your account to S2c member. Then you’ll get access to the community chest area, and the members only section.  :cheers

Hi,

Ah!  I wonder where my membership card is?  Found it, in my wallet, where is should have been, but in an obscure pocket.

Membership No. 3779, expires December 2019. I intend renewing my membership, despite no longer having an S2. ( I can live in hope, can't I?)

Is this mail sufficient? Or would Wittsend prefer a PM, and/or,an email?

Hi John,
Pop your details on the post entitled 'calling all S2c members (again)'
That is where Wittsend will see it  :cheers

I'm sure I had a link for the members only section a few days ago but can't find it now?
anyone know what it is as I can't see a direct link of the forum page yet?

Hi Craig,
Does your forum screen show a section for S2c members lounge? If not, you may have minimised that section of the forum.

Otherwise, Wittsend did post some direct links to members areas of the website in this post

EDIT by mod - Link removed. Not to be shared outside the member's section!

Okay, think I have found it.
I don't have a "members lounge" link from the page here but I can click the "visit our website" tab at the top and get to it from there.

Cheers

You have it because I made you a member. The Forum home page should show you all the sections you have access to including the members section.

Yes, can see where it is now. At the bottom of the various forums is a "S2C Member's Lounge" section with another two forum pages in there.  ;)

Many thanks all, new forum is certainly coming together fast now.
