I may have one early S2 hub (with the double coned nuts) hanging round in my workshop, and I'm in Bristol.

Told you, complete axles are as cheap as chips.

Perhaps it is because people find it hard to handle a large lump, look how much diffs go for on ebay.  Buy an axle, sell the diff and make a profit.

That sounds promising. We’re going to attempt separation of the side that looks salvageable, but will still need one for the other side.

Whereabouts are you and how much would you like for it? I’m sandwiched between Thornbury and Bristol.
