Good thing or bad thing, let the arguement begin. All that's certain is it will happen.

Hi,

Barbara driving one of her Korean things, probably the KIA, somewhere towards mid-Wales. Roadworks in Lane 2, so 50mph limit in Lane 1, which she was sort of complying with.

Small van in slip road, slightly slower. He was obviously going to pull in behind us .... wasn't he? Wrong!

As we were running side by side, he started to move over into our lane, which was obviously going to push us into the road works.

Barbara gave it some welly, and the van pulled in behind us, but very close.

Two fingered salutes were exchanged.

I'm guessing that many of us, if not all, have had similar experiences.

Many yonks ago (40years? 50 years?) I think it was in Germany where they introduced a new speed limit. The number of accidents increased.  ??? Traffic was bunching up behind the herd leader.

OK, design a car with a loud pedal that becomes uncomfortable to drive at above the speed limit, but leave the drivers able to power their way out of trouble.

No doubt the crims in our midst, will arrange things so they are faster than us lesser mortals.
