Hi,

Log onto https://www.the-blueprints.com/blueprints/cars/landrover/ and find your Landy.

That's assuming the link works.

602 with fingers crossed.

Hmmm!

"No Answer!" was the stern reply.

Whatever, I hope it's of some use to somebody, sometime.

Might be handy if you're making a scale model of  a LR, ...I've used similar drawings to make patterns for a scratch built locomotive

Hi Porkscratching,

I used the scale drawings in Autocar, to make a 1/25th (one mm= one inch) scale model of Barbara's Reliant Sabre 6GT. Google 361WYD images, and be afraid!

Is there any kudos in once owning a car, that has now become a historic racer.

I looked for just a stock 109 and military 110's just keep coming up. Then I found a 109 pickup. Interesting to see that the rear springs are drawn as flat. The fronts have a slight arch.

Hi,

On this side of the pond, we believe in realism.

Either that Landy has had a hard life, or the tub is full of sand.

Hmmm! Reminds me of the story of the king who aked his chef why the stork he was about to have for dinner only had one leg.

Good find, but to me these are not blueprints (engineering drawings) just pictures scanned from old brochures that give loading dimensions or such like  :stars - they are very difficult to scale from as a modeller as scanning often compromises the x and y dimensions, the thickness of a line at the scale they are could be an error of 2 inches !

Hi assuming I can remember how to post a picture ... herewith two model Reliant Sabre 6GTs. The headlamps are drawing pins.

The models look better than theb pictures (Barbara's mobile!)

Reliant Sabres? Think GRP bodied Ford 10 special ... with a straight 6 Ford Zodiac engine. 2.6 litre. She never forgave me for selling the tripple SU. The Webber 28/36 was quite adequate, thankyou very much.

We both entered the auto-tests at the first and second Sabre Days. This involved driving in and out bollards, As fast as we could, and reverse paring into "garages", and similar silly things. The WET GRASS did not help.

While Barbara was doing her bit for the honour of the Swansea Valley ... there was an almighty scream, followed by a bloke running for his life. The course notes said to turn left at the next bollard. There was no mention about the bloke sitting on the bollard that was not part of the course.

Historic note ... Way back when, Jaguars bought Rovers. Jaguars did not want the SP250, as it would have been in competition with their E-type.(or XKE, as the Colonials call it)

So they sold the moulds to Reliant, who fitted that body onto the Sabre chassis, and called it the Reliant Scimitar GT. The GTE came later

Hmmm! 7ft 6in wheelbase. Isn't that very close to 88"? I wonder if our old GT Convertible is still lying dying, where my mate found it.

You'll like this one, it's an articulated Mallet, all hand made.  It's 30+ feet long and like his other toys, has a working steam plant and drives around his property pulling loads.  This old boy loved his trains!
