Banksy of the tarmac or just Aliens ?
« on: June 17, 2020, 12:09:54 PM »

I have cycled the lanes around here for many years, or what’s left of them once you discount potholes. I have always been amazed by the mysterious white circles which appear around the holes, only to be replaced once the paint wears out. But lately a new set of etchings have started to appear. Not just circles, but unintelligible writing, arrows, and what appear to be ancient symbols.
My thoughts immediately turn to landing sites for UFO’s, naturally !    Or have we a new Banksy of the lanes, maybe just practising for the big one.  :stars       Or has lockdown fever set in ?

Apparently, potholes do not to be filled in, just edged with paint to denote that they have been recorded.

So if they gave the guy a bigger tin of paint, he could just fill them with paint......

Oxfordshire council have a dragon patcher for quick cheap filling of potholes they used it on a residential road in Henley and had to pay to have a number of car machine polished to get rid of the molten tar the machine had liberally spread on them.

Maybe if we all went out and did this, something would get done about the *&%^$ potholes.

Gordon Ramsey once used the gravy in a certain Lancashire pub to fill the potholes in the car park. Probably lasted longer than some of the supposed "repairs" that the council do.

When the Council turned up to fill in OUR pothole, Arthur Scargill arrived with a band of pickets to protest! >:(

We recently posted about the properties of  :weetabix

Sounds like using Gordon Ramsey's gravy sauce (sic) with Weetabix binder would be a good (and cheap) pot hole repair ???
(see what I did there)

The new markings likely denote the location of underground utility services. You can't just dig up a road pr footpath without knowing what's underneath.

I’ll be looking to the skies tonight, maybe extra terrestrials know about filling holes. But of course they never roll along the ground.
