Warning light
« on: September 11, 2019, 05:11:40 AM »

Morning all
I've got an unusual warning light on the military dash in NFO, which I'm certain is original, as its sister vehicle also has one.
But... It should have two.
Has anyone seen one like this before, or can tell me the make, or even better, where to buy one?
I've had several suggestions of ones that are similar, but I'm really after one that is identical.
Thanks
Andrew

Why should it have 2 lights?

The trailer warning light would have been powered by a 4th terminal on a special flasher can (generally made by Heller - mount the early ones the correct way)

There is another hole for the warning light for the vehicle indicators. It doesn't have a Tex Magna, rather a switch on the dash. Its original as its sister vehicle still has the same setup.
This is an image of No 20's dash, mine is No12. It shows the indicator switch and the location of the two lights.

Try old electronic kit as thats a pretty standard lense from the 70/80s. Oddly was watching The Power of Love on YouTube and Marty McFly has those on his amp!

This is clearly a specialised application.

Have you tried the Ex Military Land Rover Association

They are more likely to know than us....

Paul, you are a star! I shall buy you a drink at the next pub meet!
I shall get some orange glass painting and paint the lense.
