Some newly fitted valves jammed and bent some push rods ...
(at some point there will be an engine for sale)

I'm in the process of fettling the original 5 bearing engine that came with the Panda camper.
I need to get the head skimmed, new hot spots, new valve guides and valves...

I then need to rebuild the front axle - swivels & brakes. All new parts ready to go - as the days get longer and warmer I'll be more inclined to get it finished.

Hi all!

While I remember. Sixpenny Handley 2021..

1) Don't forget to stockpile/bring wood/logs for the bigger and better fire!

2) I can confirm that Friday nights 'fancy dress' theme will be: Your favourite famous person from British History (Must be REAL!)

3) There will be a greenlane prunning trip on Sunday 4th July. Limited spaces available. Get in touch if you are interested, as I can always organised multiple groups starting in
different locations. I can supply GPX files also.

4) The campsite are very much looking forward to having us.

5) Hopefully Jean can work her magic with a 2021 group photo on the Saturday evening again.

6) New stickers have been designed and approved ;) Watch this space.

7) PLEASE PLEASE, if you have a cheap pop up gazebo can you bring it along so we can strap them all together around the club trailer/bbq just to give us some cover
in case it rains! - Which is won't... because I'm paying Clive Withey a few quid to dance around some local field naked the week before???! Something called a sundance
apparently. I wouldn't know, I'm not from Somerset.

8) As always, for those arriving on the Thursday night, I can confirm that as per previous years, this will be home brew night. So bring along what you have, and leave it on the trailer for us to sample. I have one barrel of cider that I've kept aside since Autumn 2019, which I intend on bringing along. Pretty sure that won't last long with Martin & Frenchie on site..

9)Just a final reminder to remember to arrive with as much fuel on board as possible. Nearest petrol station is either Salisbury on the way in, OR Blandford Forum.

10) And finally. The Friday night buffet is BACK! Please everyone bring along some nibbles/grub/special dishes/pies/sausage rolls/cakes/anything else that we can all nibble on f
or dinner. And we will lay all this out ready for everyone to 'attack' at 6pm on the Friday. Oh, also, don't forget the cheese Gromit!

Right. Fairly sure that's covered the basics! I've probably forgotten something, so if I have, or you are unsure then please shout.

Edit: For those interested I believe Kevin and AN OTHER 'may' well be runnining an unoffical trip onto Salisbury Plain on the Friday, leaving in the morning sometime.

Friday night fancy dress theme - James Williams impersonation, red or green shirt with camouflage/dpm trousers, wig optional. James will judge for the most accurate representation. Open to any age, any gender  :o :o

Hi James,

The company where my wife works always have loads of pallets going begging, I will get as much as I can into the 109 when I come, if there is a place I can drop a load off when I come for route clearing can do that as well. Alternatively I can give the location and anyone in Salisbury could go and pick up pallets

Sixpenny Handley 2021 – Announcement.

Hi all,

Due to the government’s latest decision to extend lockdown beyond 21st June, and in line with Series 2 Club Policy we are unable to proceed with our annual camping weekend at Sixpenny Handley from 15th – 18th July.

Please therefore consider this Series 2 Club event CANCELLED.

On a slightly more pragmatic note, I can confirm that Church Farm Campsite are still very keen to have us on the original dates above.

They have therefore agreed to take on my list and book you all in direct, as generic campers.  i.e., All under their insurance policy. Not the clubs.

Before this can happen, I will need to confirm that I have all of your phone numbers, as the campsite will need these for Track and Trace.

Outline Details

The campsite will be placing us into the field as per usual, and NOT the main site, unless you booked direct previously.

There is no need to contact the campsite directly.

No advance payment required; money will be collected on day.

The campsite will NOT be contacting you. Please do NOT contact the campsite as they are very busy.

All previous details remain the same, with the exception of the BBQ, which we will resolve by bringing multiple BBQs spread apart from each other.

I will shortly be in contact with you all to clarify the following before I transfer everything over to the campsite:

A)   If you would still like to attend.
B)   Contact details for Track and Trace.

Should you wish not to attend, I totally understand, and we look forward to welcoming you next year.
