1958 Canadian station wagon with unusual heater arrangement
« on: March 20, 2021, 12:07:48 AM »

this apparent constructed heating box has a Smiths label riveted to the top.  It takes over the space for the middle seat,  I wonder if anyone has seen anything like this?

That’s an ‘Arctic’ heater. I’ve seen pictures of them before. Never seen in the metal though. Does it work?

It's not an 'Arctic' heater as per the ones fitted by the military. Are there other types?

Looks like a home made one that was described over the phone.

Not sure about the heater itself but the pipes look home made. Nice Series One by the way.

I had a cocktail or two and I meant to post it on the Series 1 Forum, but placed it here instead. :stars :bright-idea
