Found this on the internet.
951…….3 main bearing, Petrol, 8:1, military specification

Not sure what the S means in front, maybe a military rebuild code or something?

Craig.

Is there a website you can go to in order to decipher the engine numbers and gearbox numbers?

I understood the S prefix means its a new engine supplied as a service replacement , but may be wrong

Thanks Craggle & Autorover1, the S for service replacement could well be right.
