Mystery seats

I've been asked by a workmate to tryand find out about these seat covers
The were given to him by someone who said the were from a Series 1.
I've never seen any like it before, but wondered if the team knew any more. :tiphat

I would suggest that they are homemade  ???. In a Series 1 anything extra would increase the comfort

I think he said there were ties at the back to affix them.
