Membership renewal
« on: May 02, 2021, 06:57:02 AM »

Having let my membership of the club lapse I tried to rejoin but I can't remember the details I was previously a member with, I've emailed the membership address but not yet heard back. If I join as a "new" member would I lose my old membership number?

I'm sure Alan can sort this for you? Have you sent him a message/email?

Dan, how long is it since it lapsed?  If more than 3 months then your old number will not be recoverable.
Click the link to the web site in the banner at the top of the page then select club services and membership, you will have to join again and you will get a new membership number, old numbers are not reused.

I am surprised though that you have not had a reply from Gene maxwell, he is usually on the ball

Oh it would have been a couple of years or more. A pity I can't get the number back. :/ Maybe Gene is busy or my mail went in the spam bin  ???

Hi Dan, I replied very shortly after I received your email, I check the inbox at "[email protected]" pretty much every day, usually several times. The response is probably in your "Spam". It was sent to your "1 ton" address at 18.10 on Friday... Sadly, "Crossmember" does not allow re-use of "lapsed" numbers. If people rejoin they are issued a new number - no great deal ?

For everyone's data protection we "Lapse" memberships and delete "overdue" records three months after the membership expires. In that time people will have received several email reminders and then an actual letter complete with stamp... Members with no email address recorded ( There are not that many) get a reminder letter, just like the old system.

Easiest answer is to follow the "How to Join" tab on the main website at www.series2club.co.uk.  Takes cards, Paypal, Direct Debit and cheques...

Cheers,
Gene.
