OIL PRICES !!!!!
« on: May 14, 2021, 11:43:18 AM »

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gents , thought I would make you aware,

you may have seen the petrol prices going up this is due to a massive price hike in the oil prices, our truck pump oil has gone up a third in the last two weeks, so get to the shops and get your oil stocked up before you are paying the extra!!!!!!!!!! :-*

Likewise. I bought 25 litres of EP90 for £57; delivered last year and then fitted a recon rear diff that doesn't leak do that will see me out.

You made me panic with this post! I checked heating oil. Aparantly it’s risen a bit due to the barrel price rising, but the British weather had made it worse. The seasonal drop yet to happen.

I heard that the collapse in demand for aircraft fuel over the last year has upset the balance at refineries. Sounds plausible, at least.

Hi,

I understand that Local Councils are complaining that their income has dropped due to Covid ... their car parks are empty.

The historic knee jerk reaction would normally be to hike the prices to compensate. (OK, I'm guessing).

But Joe Public has leaned that he can work from home, and his wife has got used to not going to the supermarket ... they deliver, for free.

When I was in short trousers, milk and bread were delivered by horse and cart, and the butcher employed a "smart lad" to deliver meat on a bicycle (with provision for a basket on the front). The baker's horse lived on a few feet from the back of the shop, with the oven just behind that.

You could have an evening at the cinema, followed by fish and chips wrapped in newspaper ... and still have change from half-a-crown (twelve and a half pence, in new money). Rickets and Tuberculosis came free of charge. ( I spent three weeks in bed, at RAF Hospital Wroughton, in 1964, with TB. No treatment.  Then they told me that they didn't know what it was ... but I was now cured. ??? )

My father always said it was the Government's job to keep the Rich rich , and the Poor happy.
