Mine arrived today. I've just quickly scanned through it, looks to be interesting.

I found the interview with Alex about the club interesting, especially from a non member's view.

I probably will soon. I want to sell my MGB GT and once done I 'll cancel my membership of the 2 MG clubs to which I belong. That'll give me nearly 5 years of Series 2 membership.

Nice interview Alex.

But fear I may have to submit a complaint to the editor as no signs of Gordon and Wendy Lowe in this edition..........Again.........!

Good article. Thanks Alan for scanning it for the forum otherwise I wouldn't have seen it. I was intrigued by the stats on the S2C Facebook Group. I have a Facebook profile, but virtually never look at FB, so I was interested to see how prolific the level of activity is on there. Won't change my views on Facebook - personally I'm happier in this corner on this forum...

I do look at FB and i am in several groups but I am happier on here.

Almost everyone seems to be an expert on Fb and they do come out with some absolute twaddle.  Fore example (non land rover)  we have a Romahome and so I am on a Romahome page.  Someone asked for advice about an Eberspacher combined water and space heater fitted to a Romahome Outlook, ours has this fitted.  The first rely was telling them to look in the engine comparment as it is an engine heater, note I already said it is combined water and space, the unit is actually not connected to the engine in any way.  It is a completely free standing unit under the centre of the vehicle.  In spite of me having said that I own one and have done for 14 years the guy who said it was in the engine compartment.  The other one crops up often on land rover related pages when it comes to DVLA and registrations, most of the info people give is years out of date and therefore incorrect but people take it at face value and toddle off to DVLA and get in a mess.  When they complain on the page the replies are usually well it worked for me, when you start to ask pertinent questions it often turns out that it worked 10 years ago not last week.

with 11600 members on the series 2 club FB pages and of that we suspect that only 800 are club members  there is bound to be some dross in there!

We are more discerning than the Series FB page which has 30,000 + members, though!

(and better for it in my opinion)

who was it said "I wouldn't want to be in a club who would have me for a member "  ?
