Errr.....

What is a Landy breakfast? Traction engine tea and locoman's breakfast I can cope with. Any connection with dog's dinners?

I think it's the grille panel - I believe it's more of a series 1 term, but it's because the panel looks like two eggs (headlights) and bacon (the grille itself)  If i'm wrong i'm wrong, but someone told me this once.

Hah, back when I was young and ignorant (last week?) someone told me the grille is the "breakfast" because that's how all Aussies cook their morning bacon, just pop off the grille and lay it over the fire.

I suppose that's as true as "all Alaskans live in igloos".

You mean you don't live in an igloo? I'm disappointed.
Thanks for the photo, it's a good start. The breakfast is the midpanel between the wings with the grill and headlights, according to Terrianne Wakeman, the term started out as a joke in the Ottawa Valley Land Rover (ovlr) club, someone trying to be funny, saying that Aussies cooked on the grill over a fire. Not a particularly healthy thing to do considering it's galvanized.

I did use a 2a grille for an impromptu barbecue once, it made a bit of a mess of the galv, but you could get spare grilles for nothing back then so it didn't really matter...
