Exploring local lanes - Pictures.
« on: June 12, 2021, 07:09:04 PM »

A few of us went out exploring some new lanes today.

It was good to get out. Although it was warm!

Looks really nice and i am a little envious of the amount of lanes available to you down there. I have driven a couple myself when on the way back from holidaying in Dorset.

Just wondering if you all got a job lot on CB mounts and antennas !

Looks like you had a good day out.

 :-X

Parts of Dorset and Wiltshire are very good for lanes.

As for the CBs and Antennas. Most of us have them. Especially useful when leading groups onto Salisbury Plain or convoy driving.

We always make sure that the lead Land Rover and Tailend Charlie always have a CB, that way we can keep the group together, and tail end charlie can communicate with the leader to let him know everyone has pulled out of a junction, OR if the group is still together or split etc etc. It works really well.

Most of us rare use them on our own when we are out and about.

Jealous much?

I can’t wait to do something like that, hopefully soon.

Looks great.
Five hard tops. Unusual not to see a mix of hard and soft tops in a group of series Land Rovers.
Definitely rolled up soft top weather!
And yes, mines a hard top too.
It used to be a soft top and sometimes I wish it still was.

We like the overgrown lanes.

Softtops don't last one on those!  :-X

Driving the overgrown lanes is a very altruistic gesture to keep them open for other users (its a tough job I know but somebody has to do it) and should be pointed out to them at every opportunity. Nice set of pics helps to show that laning is not offroad mudplugging.
