When it all goes wrong...

eBay has changed a lot, you now have to pay VAT as a seller (I don't know about if you buy) they make it almost impossible to use PayPal now they sold it and no longer own it, the Post Office have lost a parcel I posted! (what's new?) a Dewalt battery I bought won't charge (less than a year old) and an order from Amazon I bought was canceled on the day it was meant to be delivers.... and then they smartly put the price up.... and that was all on the SAME DAY!!! and they say buying online is easier  :-X :-X ☹☹

if you are talking about ebay fees ?you always had to pay vat on them if not fees I am not sure what you are talking about. The new system for payments is no better or worse than paypal just different if you have money in a paypal account sent it to your bank and then use debit card to pay for things on ebay.

The thing is I like to keep my paypal separate then I can spend it on my SII or the P38 without dipping into my main account, that way the wife don't know

Hi,

Be careful if using a credit card (and probably a debit card) to make regular payments, to somebody like PayPal.

When the card time expires, so do your instructions, and the Payee(s) tend to get snotty. Don't ask how I know.

Actually, it's not PayPal who get annoyed ... it's the trader.

Yes, the Card Company do tell you, but the implications are not obvious.

PS. Which reminds me, I haven't used PayPal for well over a year. I can't remember if I told Barbara to stop the regular monthly payments. How does one obtain a PayPal statement?

There will come a time possibly this year when all sellers are obliged to take ebay payments.

I jumped before i was pushed and just opened a separate bank account with a debit card to receive my ebay payments.

One advantage is I can spent my ebay "earnings" on a round in the pub if I want to.

Yeah I suppose it gives you more choice, but I think It's now a long slow death for PayPal

I have over £300 I'm mine, I think but not sure, you can have up to £500 or that's the limit someone can put in at a time, the treason I say that I sold a car and I wanted the money in paypal, but it only let them put £500 out, and when it gets to around £400 I put it in my main bank, but almost everyone uses it now, I think it's going to be the same with Bitcoin (wish I had more of them) the price has gone crazy, I got some way, way back and glad I did, couldn't afford it now though
