A target to aim for, an incentive to get things finished (and tested).

Does sound good, very good in fact. Not too far from me either, few hours away so maybe be able to make it.

Sounds a good mix of events, trips and visits planned and not all about greenlaning which some club (Not necessarily this club) events seem to revolve around.

Will check the dates and add them to the diary.

Craig.

Sounds great and well done to all involved.
Don't think the 2a will pull nearly 2 ton of caravan that far down the M5.

Will have to be the Disco4

Dear all,

A brief update from the Bristol Area Rally Planning Crew, on next years 2022 Rally at Cheddar.

Wednesday 27th July : is the arrival date. That is the date that we will be manning the gate to the site. On arrival at Petruth Paddocks Campsite, there is a short and narrow lane to drive down. Half way down on the right is a gate (will be sign posted). You will be met by one of the crew and directed towards the pitch areas, other crew members will be on hand to help. Anyone arriving on the Tuesday or Monday MUST inform me to be sure we are there to meet and greet you.

Location:: Petruth Paddocks Campsite (Travel hint: There will always be many people giving their own advice what route to take. This route is the one I use and find it has the lesser nasty tight turns etc but there are a couple of High Streets to drive through) Take junction 20 from Clevedon and drive through Yatton, Congresbury, Langford to join the A38. Don't get off at Weston Super Mare junction 21, you will end up going through Banwell and has a nasty narrow dog leg High Street that is prone to Congestion)

The 2022 Rally will be a "Green" event and we won't be providing a printed welcome pack. Information will be posted on the Clubs pages, forums, Facebook pages and available on the walls of the Clubs Gazebo i.e. OS maps will be available. Electronic Maps will be communicated well before the event, so you will have a chance to print your maps if you prefer paper copies. More guidance will be available from the Route planning lead.

Pricing
£15 per person per night
Children and dogs are free, so please keep that in mind when completing Petruth Paddocks Campsite online booking. We are only paying for adults :-)
When completing the online campsite booking form do not enter anything in the children / dog online form areas.

Electrical hook ups: are limited in our field. Petruth Paddocks campsite management team have agreed to put anyone who specifically requests a powered hook-up pitch, over the side of the hedge in the next field. This places you close to the rally field.
The clubs gazebo will be fitted with powerpoints for charging phones, laptops etc.  The campsite itself also has an additional 18 secure powerpoints in a cabinet by reception

Wifi : There is no campsite wifi but mobile phone reception is excellent. For emergencies the campsite, on request can provide an Internet connection but again emergencies only.

Booking Petruth Paddocks Campsite: Please remember when making your campsite booking to tell the campsite your are joining the Series 2 Club Rally. They will then be able to allocate you to our field or at the nearest pitch with power.

Please keep in mind, we still have a year before the rally, so plenty of time to plan, update and get your feedback.
The rally presentation pack (which is already quite comprehensive), will be updated regularly, so please keep reading that for the latest planning.

Hi all,

To add to Andy P post, I will add a plan of the rally field with the organisers area etc, there are a very limited number of hookups in the rally field, taken on a first booked basis! we will be using three of the power points in the field for our site offices plus the marquee where people will be able to charge phones etc (for free), at the moment one other hookup has been booked! That leaves another two in our field, once gone, anyone wanting hookup will have to camp in an adjacent field where there are lots more hookups.

Looking forward to collecting your booking forms (now that I can work the system! Thanks John Stokes for your patience).

Geoff
2022 rally site officer.

Geoff, you say that two electric hook ups remain, I know that Suzanne has booked one and I booked one last week. Perhaps I will have to check with the campsite that they have my booking although they have taken my payment.

Dave, the post higher up says anyone requesting a powered pitch will be placed in the field over the hedge but will still be near to the rally field.

Tim,it says that if you book early enough, you can get one of the hookups on the rally field. I got a confirmation email from the campsite today that I have a hookup on the rally field.

^^^^ Ah, OK 👍

Hope you get what's been confirmed to you.

Maybe best to call the campsite for clarification.

One of the 'attractions' (if we can get it safe to use) is this reverse steer car. We were trying to get it running yesterday. You can just about make out the drop-arm has been repositioned on top by the owner. Should make an interesting challenge on the 'activities day'!
