Locations

I wish more members would update their location in their profiles. Makes life so much easier, especially in Trading post!

Trying to make it compulsory on registering ... but that won't help those who have already registered.

I thought I had put mine on, certainly did on tuther doofer, just looked and it’s not shown? Also I don’t seem to be able to press/action the modify profile?

I agree location ish shown does create less questions, make decisions much quicker and life easier  ???

Instead of clicking action or modify, click the two left pointing arrows in the top right corner of the forum screen (on the profile link).
This brings up action/modify as a list down the left hand side which is then clickable.  :cheers

So click arrows as per picture 1, and menu 2 will appear and be navigable.

Are you using an iPad by any chance?  :cheers

For some reason, that modify button doesn’t seem to work with iPads but does on other devices  :stars

At least there is a simple work around.  :cheers

Even better if they quote a town/city rather than just a county or vague reference to an area  ;)

Surely it's up to the seller to give their location in the ad, not all users opt for stating a location in their profile. :tiphat

^^^ It's nice to know where fellow members are located. What can be so damaging about revealing the town in which you live? The forum username can be used to provide a degree of anonymity if folk feel they need it.

Not a scooby what can be damaging or not, - you'll have to ask all the users that choose not to add a location. ;)

Have a heart, please!

Some of us live in Essex.

Would you own up to that, if you didn't have to?  :neener

(One person I know, put his location on another forum as: Kent-Suffolk border).

I don’t live in a town, I live in a hamlet of five houses which is rather more precise than I care to be. I am however proud to be in Essex!
