Here’s my 1957 Series 1 88”, 2.0 l petrol hardtop, and a C8 suffix export LHD model for a cold winter in Canada

Forgot to say the C8 suffix models have better insulation (like a station wagon), one piece doors, and a bigger fresh hair heater. Sadly, most of this is lost over the years.  I have a smiths shin burner to fit.  Just need new wings and to repair the roof.

Besides the 2 2s in the avatar we have 2 running S1s and a 49 S1 in the process of being built up in the family.

The one on the right in the avatar has been in the family since 1963 and it has never been off the road in all that time.

They are in the garage, there are so many other bits missing as well. For example Brakes.. Thats why I left the wipers off to remind me its not yet finished as the only time I get to go anywhere it rains.

A year ago it was collected from 3 different counties so not doing too badly on it.

In date order, 1965 Marshall Ambulance, 1969 Diesel 88, 1971 Lightweight, 1980s S3 and 1996 90.

Only the lightweight is currently road legal though :-(

Quite a few.

From this to this (but I won't include those in between as it really shouldn't be a numbers game).

Top one owned for 36 years, bottom one only 11 years.

This is getting dangerously close to the forbidden 'so, how many land rovers do you have now?' question!

110, for towing trailers and carting bits of other land rover around:

127 ambulance, for snoozing in:

88" series 1, in a million bits for surgery:

range rover, mostly composed of rust and currently in slightly fewer than a million bits for derustification:

Another range rover, for... I'm not too sure, actually. Spares? Also a 300tdi disco, which is slowly returning to the earth from whence it came.

In conclusion, the answer to aforementioned 'how many...' question is probably 'too many'. Anyone want a couple of range rovers!?

Just purchased new toy. I didnt think there were any mint 300tdi's left, but I finally found one and well chuffed. It wasnt cheap but looks like a 1 year old car, never welded and rustproofed from new. Just as good underneath. A definite "keeper".
