Central locking S3 doors for Defenders.
« on: August 11, 2020, 11:05:28 AM »

This thread topic originated on the LR4x4 forum as an item of little interest, but then progressed into something SOME S2A people might be interested in.

Initially it revealed that SP marketed fully furnished S3 doors (and door tops) for Defenders (so no relevance to a S2 forum).
The OP released that he was doing this for asthetic reasons, but his main query was how to incorporate the Defender central locking into the S3 door locks.

The responses showed that aftermarket solenoids / motors could be linked to the Series style latch mechanisms. It was this information, including an endorsed supplier recommendation, which made me think it might be worth cross-posting into this forum.

That's quite interesting. It could easily make a Land Rover more usable for passengers
