My negative earth later Land Rovers suffer from it badly. My Series Ones, very little. Albeit that it might have something to do with the type of bonding, and amount of paint (if any) between the metals. |

The future is a pretty scary place, what with riots spreading across France, Putin moving Nuclear weapons into Belarus(?), China, destined to become the world power, spying into our lives, even controlling it, through the very devices we buy from them, and AI doing heaven knows what. (not to belittle the afore mentioned, the following is a light-hearted comment) - And if that wasn`t bad enough, the gentleman's game of cricket now stands accused of bullying sexism & misogyny.
Didn`t Private Frazer once say (many times), "We're doomed we're doomed" Who else remembers the 1973 film Soylent Green? staring Charlton Heston as Thorn. To remind me of the detail I looked this up on Wikipedia. Set in a dystopian (what a good word) futuristic 2022, with dying oceans, overpopulation, water & food shortages and New York with a population of 40 million, the poor were given wafers of highly processed food called Soylent Green. With rioting in the streets following shortages of this Soylent Green, Thorn secretly boards a waste truck transporting human bodies from the euthanasia center to a waste-disposal plant, where he witnesses human corpses being processed and turned into Soylent Green..... to spread the truth, Thorn, shouting to the surrounding crowd, "Soylent Green is people! Just gruesome theatre or could it be a foretelling of our own future where, once again, science fiction becomes reality I`ll let you decide while you enjoy your Sunday roast |

602 I was told that fully comp was the only level of cover for the land rover by my insurer.
It also has all manner of bells and whistles that cannot be deselected, and I am told would not reduce premium even if it did. Re cycle insurance that used to be with BCF before they got trendy and rebranded British Cycling. CTC from memory was more thorough but did not include racing. Betsy you are correct, the NFU would not quote me for Land Rover cover in my own right as they said I did not qualify, this despite being named driver on NFU policies for 2 decades. Rural postcode, but with the amount of tackle that gets nicked in the countryside I wonder if that is a burden these days. |

One thing which puzzles me is why some insurers simply won’t even quote me , even though several others will. The details of the vehicle , address , occupation and driving history are all the same so what’s the problem ?
I know they take postcode so level of risk into consideration etc etc and to some extent that’s understandable but why not insure you and then see how it goes , they could then load your premium based on your claims or lack of if they think fit . |

I think you are looking for Stud 320345 which I believe has been superceeded to MXC4657. It fixed with a screw through the centre and a nut . Its listed on page 331 in parts book , no picture against it
