Military renovation and SLR gun mount question
« on: October 02, 2022, 05:59:17 PM »

Hello all,

I have a couple of SLR gun mounts that are in a terrible state.  Could I ask the expertise on here what the material is used to line the clips and where could I source some to repair mine?

Thanks in advance.

It's leather of some sort on the early ones, not sure on the later version.

The set I took off Tonka and sold on were lined with light brown leather.

Early were brown leather. Later appear to be green leather.  I have a set of welding gloves that appear to be the right colour and thickness, but you cannot have them!
