Best forum for Range Rover Classics?
« on: January 12, 2023, 01:30:10 PM »

Very Off Topic but sure that other members can help.

I'm stepping my toes into RRC ownership and am looking for a friendly  forum, like this one, where there are members with good levels of knowledge.

There is a RRC section on LR4x4 which I use occasionally and I know about RangeRovers.net and the Range Rover Classic section of Landroversonly.com but both of these largely support North American markets.

Just seeing if there was an equivalent of the Series2Club forum for RRCs?

I've tried to use facebook, where there are various groups, and its horrible - I much prefer a traditional 'forum',

Thank you.

The Range Rover Register no longer runs a forum. I would suggest Rangerovers.net (https://www.rangerovers.net/forums/range-rover-classic.8/).

Its a US site but very informative.

On the other hand, I've had 37 Range Rover Classics... I know a bit about them and have a lot of information. Feel free to ask.

I wouldn't say they are an equivalent of the S2C, and the section covers all things Range Rover, not only the Classic, but maybe url]https://www.lrukforums.com/forums/range-rover.52/[/url]

I was recently looking for a U.K. RRC. Forum as I would like to own one again. I still hanker after a 2 door like the Tuscan Blue one I had some 30 years ago. Definitely one car I should not have sold but a growing family and mortgage meant it had to go.

On the other hand, I've had 37 Range Rover Classics....

What?

Only 37?

Massive fail DW! :-X

(Says I, who has only owned five.   :-[)

To the OP, I know it's Facebook, but if all else fails you should be able to get help and info on here:

I think I still have a few! Just not sure where... I know there is one in Zimbabwe and another in Croatia, but I also lent one to somebody about 15 years ago in Ghana. That one is still knocking about somewhere.

To be honest, they were without doubt for many years my favourite car of all time. I just got a bit fed up with constantly fitting sills, inner wings, goal posts and so on. Apart from 3 new ones I bought which were all stolen in the UK, every other one I've ever had has been totally rebuilt by me. Somebody else's gain I suppose, but my loss!

I don't think I would want another one. My last CSK was my favourite, but I'm happier with a traditional Series to potter about in when I finally get time to get one running.

I may fall short as a car person, but I have to ask: what is a CSK? Nothing here https://www.abbreviations.com/CSK nor there https://www.acronymfinder.com/Business/CSK.html seems to fit…

3.9 V8i manual 2 door with an unrestricted ECU. It was also the first production Classic with anti roll bars. A real gem.
