You dont need to change anything. Just an additional "UK" sticker "somewhere on the vehicle" Less than £2 on ebay.

True enough but its still my £ and time being wasted to no good purpose.

If the former then that's an additional cost of £? per vehicle and an afternoon of faffing about that they failed to mention when describing the benefits of Brexit.

It's almost as if Brexit wasn't actually designed to benefit the people. I'm shocked.

Back in the day the likes of the AA/RAC used to post you a free sticker when you informed them you were going abroad, maybe they still do?

They used to be proper badges, not stickers.

MCN has ran an article this week saying no longer need a green card to be insured in the EU so guess it’s a case of win some, lose some. Never paid for a green card directly when they were required (not that long ago I think) so not sure if that cancels out the £2 or not.

Anyone know why it was ever a GB sticker as we have been the United Kingdom since 1801 which must predate the stickers?

Exactly! Who cares?

Me for one.  My passport says United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland.  Should always have been UK. But we are in danger of politics here.

We’ll I’m hopefully off euroleafing to the Pyrenees in two weeks so I’ll dust off my old metal GB plate regardless. I usually take it off once away from the ports anyway as I hope it makes it harder for the speed cameras and traffic wardens to know where to send the tickets.  :neener

A friend reports seeing a cop elsewhere in Europe peel the GB sticker off a truck then walk round to the cab to fine the driver....

...and poor Halfords, all that stock of stickers that will have to be binned.

 :shakeinghead

He'd do well to peel it off my S2, I've got an original 1950's white and black painted metal GB plate rivetted on the back !

Oddjob's OK because the change doesn't come in until September.
