My question is - is it still available? I could still do with one!

Look back through the forum Andy, someone posted a pattern and someone else (possibly Sunny Jim but not sure) made one from the pattern.

I made one from a drawing ( supplied by Wittsend,?) but that was on the old forum. I think I posted a picture.

Correct in all respects (You did make one, Wittsend provided a dimensioned template, you did post a picture).
Unfortunately, all the pictures have disappeared from the old forum thread.
This thread linked to an earlier thread, most of the pictures are now blank, with the exception of the dimensioned template. The complete post, text and picture, is reproduced below.

For some reason I happen to have a flattened out heat shield:-

The measurements (sorry - I've used centimetres) don't take into account the curved bits.

Using CAD (cardboard aided design) you should be able to make a Cornflakes template and from there a heat shield that will be hard to tell from the original.
The overall size is 37 x 21 cm.

Regards.

Is that rust on the first one? That suggests it’s steel, those I’ve seen have been alloy.

The two original ones I have on my vehicles are steel. The one I bought from Dingocroft last year is also steel. The steel ones do rust, having alloy ones makes sense
