One Ten parts
« on: September 18, 2020, 09:58:51 PM »

Hello all, help please. As some of you know, I am fitting an 11H, 2286cc petrol engine from an early One Ten in my Carmichael Ft6 resto project. I don't have any parts books with this engine and I need the part numbers  for the bypass hose and bottom radiator hose please. The w pump on my engine has larger than normal hose connections and the series parts just ain't right! Thanks in advance.

I think Bottom Hose NRC3664 Bypass Hose ERC5654

For 11H part numbers try rummaging in
https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/225-petrol--diesel-engine-parts-11378-c.asp

For example
https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/water-pump---petrol-no-ac-11499-c.asp or https://www.advancedfactors.co.uk/radiator-hoses-225-carb-13406-c.asp

HTH  :tiphat

BTW Why on earth are you putting an 11H into that Tank ?

Thanks Ewan. That's a useful link too.
It would originally have been fitted with a 2.25 petrol, so this was already lurking at the back of a shed, longing for a new home! What would you have fitted?
Thanks again.

The engine in my Carmichael is a 12J, (thus 2.5) but as far as the bottom hose is concerned the same problem exists, and was solved by the previous owner although I may have replaced the hoses involved.
Attached is a captioned picture showing how it was done.

Bypass hose, I don't recall, isn't yours the standard 2.25 fitting?

Regards.

Your very welcome.

I think that if I were to be building it, to be using it for working, I would want something like a 200/300TDi or TD5 or even the BMW engines.
Something, so it can get out of its own shadow when loaded.
If restoring it to standard, then year correct 2.25 petrol.
But as you say you had the 11H.  :RHD

Remember the vehicle is a Carmichael FT6, in Foward Control configuration, so the Driver and Passenger sit over the front wheels, higher but alongside the engine. A direct injection engine produces a sharp crack with every firing stroke; I don't think anyone would relish sitting alongside one for any length of time.
There isn't enough space alongside the engine to put the appropriate level of soundproofing.
