Some CAD and cutting sheet steel to fold up and make a repair section for a B pillar on a 109 side frame. Just in the process of making up a makeshift steel press brake to fold it into shape.

Opened garage door for first time in 6 weeks . Checked the engine oil and coolant, started on first turn of the starter, reversed down the drive ( 40 yards) checked brakes were working and not sticking , drove up the drive and tested brakes again then repeated last 2 actions. Let engine warm up , noted water temperature steady at circa 84 c  , no sign of any "new" unusual sounds or leaks from engine etc. concluded all isq . Drove back into garage and closed door . Hopefully be a bit more adventurous when the current 5km limit for trips from house is extended in Ireland . David

Finished installing the new wiring loom for the 109. Not sure about the functionality of the voltage regulator as charge light stays on. More testing required but it is going for a test run up the drive tonight.

Finally got it started, first time in close to 40 years. It's a 1966 diesel which looks to still have too much compression so I'll have to get the pistons shortened some more...

Having started as a simple clutch change and detoured into clutch release mechanism overhaul and rear output oil seal replacement and transmission brake over-haul, I thought I'd check things were roughly right before replacing the seat-box and floor.... against all expectations, with a battery connected and a cushion on the fuel tank to sit on, it not only fired up, I was able to reverse out of the shed and back in. Started replacing the seat-box and floor. What a faff that is.

Anyway, Phew.

 :cheers

I've done nothing. Mine hasn't moved for about 12 weeks.

Frenchie it will have a sulk and break down when you try to move it.

I kept my appointment at the tip this morning then had a bit of a ride with no roof on just because I could.
