My light switch is showing it’s age, I have to fiddle it into just position to have have headlight and tail lights to work. Also I think it is also playing up regards to getting ignition circuit to work. I understand there is someone known to members who can refurb
These Lucas switches? Does anybody have contact details?

Welcome to the pub, Gerard. The switches are pretty simple, I took mine apart and cleaned and tightened things up. The contacts can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Watch out for ball bearings and springs, hint; I do mine over a terrycloth towel so things don't roll away.

I find these fibreglass pens very useful for cleaning up old contacts. Also great for cleaning up old wire that has gone black and needs soldering.

Plenty of cheaper versions available.
Be aware that all these pens shed fibre glass shards which gets into everything including skin - and hurts! Use with care but very effective at cleaning up old contacts.
