Door bottoms
« on: May 31, 2020, 07:32:03 PM »

I have now got all my body work from storage today. So hopefully I can repair and prime ready for a trial fit later in the year. Picking up on earlier comments on door bottoms how do I tell if what I have is original for a 1959 SWB?

I'd say they are very old as you can't fit the later door lock - your doors have the early lock attached to the handle with a post on the frame - all on the outside.  Later ones have the lock on the inside of the door with a pillar mounting the lock projecting through to the outside - and the indent is cut away to allow this to be fitted.
