I wondered if and when the goose neck and fifth wheel might make an appearance.  What I did not realise is that it was dixon bate.

I might have expected it from YORK the fifth wheel maker or a collaboration at least.

No pto usage with the goose neck as far as I can see.

With talk of all these highly specialist movers I have it in my mind that a land speed or brm or similar used custom built transporters and support vehicles.  Possibly a civilian fc with a lowering platform?

I believe a specially constructed Land Rover transporter was used for the Rover gas turbine car, JET 1 in the 1950's.

That was for the BRM / Rover gas turbine racer in the mid sixties. It was built from spare components from the 120 Forward Control prototype.

Taking into account power losses from the drive train and trim available to vary output speed via throttle due to load fluctuation.

Has anyone used a pto powered generator to create 240v and at what kw or kva.

They typically use 1500rpm input through multi v belt on a 2.1 ratio to input the alternator with 3000rpm.

The home made table saw is too high and lacks weight in my opinion.

A few photos of my 12 KVA 3ph generator. Fitted to both of my Series Ones. Driven from the rear PTO (not bottom). Engine set at 1800rpm via Iso-Speedic governor. GB in 4th, rear gears set to 6/5 to drive generator at 1500rpm.
