Forum Feedback

What do you think of our new home ???

Plenty of tweaking still needed to get it more like the old forum.
It took about 10 years to lick the old forum into shape.

Any ideas or suggestions welcome...

And if you spot any issues, flag them up and we'll see what the elves can do ....  :)

Is it right that on a users first post on the new forum it asks for the registration questions again before posting?

I have written a post, and then it shows the captcha (copy the letters) statement and then the 5 registration questions?
Doesnt appear to do it for the second post?

Also, very sad that many of the smileys have gone - I used to like lots of the old ones!  :-X

Yes, currently set to 1 post....

I'll disable it and Alan can give me a slap if he particularly wants it set....

The verification for your 1st posting is to try and keep the spammers & scammers at bay
After the 1st post you won't be asked.

All the smileys you love (and hate) are here - but have to be installed manually by the elves... in time we will have them all back in place  :cool

.... or disable while we have an initial influx of new users - it can always be reset later.

People moving across may not like the extra security ???
