The last group purchase was some time ago. There may be enough interest for another; see what kind of response you get.

I remember having hoards of members turning up at my house to collect said screens.
I was like a relay station.
I went out and collected a whole load of them from a member, (Can't remember who now), that had them delivered to his house.
I even delivered a few local ones.
I was scared stiff of them getting broken in my garage.

  &  to the Forum.

Over the life of this forum we have done 3 electric screen offers - and very successful (and well supported they were)  :first

At the time there was only one UK importer/agent (they were/are made in Spain), nowadays I believe there are several sources.

1st we need someone to step up to the plate and organise this.
1) Find a source and negotiate a discount.
2) Compile a list of interested forumeers with a firm commitment to pay.
3) Collect the money and put it in a "protected" account.
4) Storage - 50 pairs of screens take up 2 pallets and will fill a standard garage - they are heavy.
5) Onward distribution. Personal collection is best. Then as Fluffle posted - onward forum relay.
 :-\

You can not post or courier these out - without tears  :'(
Glass breaks and you just need one stroppy "customer" to sour the whole experience.

That said the heated screen offers have been one of our best/successful forum offers  :first

Heated screens are one of the best "upgrades" you can fit to your Land Rover - more so if it's a daily driver - and you don't need frost to get the benefit, they shift condensation in double quick time.
Wire each screen separately for options. Each screen draws 8.5 amps so a dynamo setup will flatten the battery in double quick time - you need an alternator.
Robin on here can/could supply relay timers so the screens turn off automatically.

Sounds interesting! Does anyone have an approximate price of what was paid for previous items?

IIRC we were in the £50/60 per screen range.

 :-\
Remember, there's nothing to stop 2 people pairing up and buying a screen each - for the driver's side only.
Still a very effective and worth while modification.

The screens are not handed (or at least the ones we had weren't).

The ones we bought made by Uro-Glass weren’t handed, but I believe that the ones currently available from a different manufacturer are, because of the way the wires are connected to them.

Do they do a nice rear screen, with extra heat so you don't need to wear gloves when your pushing it.

Given that both my screens are scratched to heck then I would definitely prefer to replace with a heated screen than a normal one.

Count me in if this is happening!
