I can only repeat 'wot Wittsend says'. For a daily, this mod should be law. Highly sensible just to clear condensation, let be ice.

A timer relay is good for the full job. Simpler is a stonking great pull-type 20A switch, less messing.

Thanks

I did buy a pair of screens some years ago when the club did a bulk purchase but after hearing about them cracking whilst and after fitting I never fitted them and sold them to another local member.
Instead I fitted a new Claytons core to the round heater and cable tied the heater doors shot so it only heated the screen which worked very well :first
To keep myself warm I fitted a ex. Land Rover army ambulance heater under the pasenger seat vented towards me where it can burn my legs :stars
They are both plumbed in series and it works well, for me 2 heaters seems the best option :tiphat

So far we have 10 hands up ...

We now need someone to volunteer and negotiate with a supplier the cost and a place for them to be delivered to and stored for onward distribution.

I  would also be interested in a set or two drivers side units if they are not handed.

I'd be happy to do that, it's the lump of cash I don't really want sight of. People have a funny way of getting narky -  money is where this sort of thing goes bent.

With my commercial head on, for a decent price, the supplier won't want to mess with 'dribs and drabs'. 'One delivery, one payment' will be most attractive. Delivery is where he'll be losing margins. I wouldn't think 10 orders will see the pulse race.

Distributors will get excited when we empty their stock. Pallets. Still not ex-factory pricing (30% of retail?). But I suspect I could not get to the factory, hence we'd be dealing with distributors at their margin. 50-60% of retail?

How was this dealt with last time?
