Hello Everyone,

A quick update.

Thank you to all those who have replied to the PM regarding heated screens. So far we have firm requests for 43 pairs of screens. There are also a further 22 people who expressed an interest but I have not yet heard back from. Please could you check your PMs and let me know either way so that I can check everyone has seen it.

Once I have heard back from everyone or got over the 50 (which is a break point) I will start sorting out payment details. This will come in the form of an email confirming what you have requested and the corresponding figure, with details of how to make payment. It will still be possible for anyone interested to add their name at this point.

Once the payments have all been received from those who have made firm requests, the order will be placed. From that point on it will not be possible to add more screens.

Once the order is placed and I know where all the screens need to get to, I will start playing with the logistical challenge of figuring out how all the screens will reach their owners. Fortunately I enjoy jigsaw puzzles and have a few weeks to work it out. Thanks to all who have indicated that they can help with the forum relay part of this - it does look like I have most of the country covered, although anyone who heads to either the Hampshire, Wiltshire or Devon area via Cambridge, Bromsgrove or Coventry would be useful to identify to fill in the gaps.

Are the screens reversible, i.e. could a LH glass be used for driver’s side on a second vehicle?

I don't know, but I will find out and get back to you.

One final point - I fly out to Colombia on business on the 15th Feb, back on the 24th, so things are likely to go quiet for a bit. I should have internet connection through to Thursday (time zone will be about 7hrs behind) but after that I am taking a few days' leave and disappearing into the Amazon rainforest, so I will be about as incommunicado as it gets these days. I will pick up on things when I am back.

We are now over the 50 screens so this will definitely go ahead

I will pick up on the payment side, hopefully in the next couple of days, otherwise it will have to wait until I am back.

With regard to screens being interchangeable on sides. No they are not because where the wire exits the glass it is held in with epoxy and this is to one side, so whilst you could fit it the other way around you would end up with the epoxy exposed or the wire at the wrong end. However, if anyone actually wants single screens, this can be done as part of the order - two identical single screens would be the same price as a pair.

I can also confirm that VAT will not apply for anyone having screens delivered outside the EU.
