We used to have a Series 1 Club stand a few years ago when it was a big two day event with lots of working displays.
A couple of years ago something happened with the committee and the show split off to two venues.
Good to hear it’s building back up, maybe we should return next year, it’s an excellent venue for a show.

I've been to this event several times pre pan(dem)ic but didn't realise it was up and running again. I must try to remember to keep an eye out for it next year. It's an easy run for me

Might be worth doing a joint LRSOC / S2C display next year. Its a two day event again this year in lovely surroundings. Nothing earth shattering, but I certainly had a very pleasant afternoon. Nearly got roped into re-joining the Range Rover Register, but managed to side step that one. I think I've got enough on my plate as is!

Good idea, I’m sure I’ll have a few LRSOC members interested.
Did you walk up to the top of the hill, fantastic view of the site but gets the heart going😄

We have made a family agreement to walk up the hill next year...! My wife is about to have a hip replacement and I'm still dealing with Long Covid breathing issues. I fear that hill may well finish us both off as things are currently!

S2C SN area falls under the Severn Valley area. Its a big area to cover.

A trip out to the Heskin Steam and Vintage show. Plenty of Club members there and a turn out of Series Land Rovers of all ages. Photographs still on the camera. Back there tomorrow. Always worth going and you can camp if live further afield.

Coming down that hill will be far more difficult than going up. Driving up and down it in a Land Rover would be interesting.

The view from the trig point at the top is well worth it though😄

This is a 1949 Freewheel gearbox, so not Series 2 / 2A, but I had to post this image. (Ignore the fact that it is taken into the east end of a west going P38...). Just got the various castings back from the vapour blasters and they have done a beautiful job. It's a work of art! Should be for what it cost me, but in this specific case, I'm happy with the result.

Which vapour blasters did you use?

Devizes vapour Blasting

They do a lovely job, but you need to given them stuff which has no oil on it, so some cleaning is required first.
