UK Virus ALERT

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent virus threat and have therefore raised their threat level from “Miffed” to “Peeved.” Soon, though, the level may be raised yet again to “Irritated” or even “A Bit Cross.”

The English have not been “A Bit Cross” since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out.

I put a bog roll on the counter at work today, with a £15 price tag on it.
Someone without a sense of humour later took it down... :shakeinghead

One for Alan.... I believe Norfolk is the only County in England not to have a case of Covid 19, which only goes to prove just how clever the Government has been all these years, making sure that the place had no decent road connections to the rest of the world...

Hi,

All the posts remind me of my RAF days at RAF Weeton (Training canp with 40 beds to the condemned WW2 Nissan huts. But no shortage of toilet rolls.

One Erk returned late one night, flopped on his bed ... only to find somebody had removed the springs, and wound bog paper round the bed frame.

He got his own back on the suspected Perp (Wrong bloke!) who woke up a few mornings later to find he had been cocooned in his bed .... tightly wrapped in bog paper.

Happy daze)!

PS. The corporal in charge of the billet slept in a small room at the far end ... everybody else was "open plan".

Corps woke up one morning, still in bed, but in the middle of the parade ground (Square-bashing for the use off.) So he wrapped himself in a bed sheet (cos he slept in the raw), and made a dash for the nearest billet. Him bursting in through the door, unannounced, was not appreciated by the residents .... did I mention it was a WRAF billet?

PPS. I was brought up in the days when the Daily Mirror was the preferred alternative ... torn into 6" squares, and hung on a nail behind the door.

No toilet rolls in Sainsbury's today, so panic bought more pasta and pasta bake sauces.

Funnily enough they had loads of bread, milk and salt which are the things that usually go first.

A question I'd like to ask one of these so-called experts; "Does this virus give you the trots ?"

From what I've seen it doesn't... It seems to be a respiratory thing.
