Unfortunately nothing more interesting than fired it up and went down the road to get a few bits and bobs...
Ps that's a very shiny engine Mr W, tho you didn't paint the exhaust manifold.! :-X

Took some french beans and sweet corn that SWMBO had started off in the greenhouse down to the allotment. Unfortunately had a traffic light race with a Range Rover on the way. When I opened the door , all the sweetcorn fell out :-[, only lost one of them .  (Sweetcorn, not te**??cles)

Put oil in the transfer box and started up for the first time since lockdown started , then drove out of garage. Must be my imagination but everything seems quieter just reversing one car length .

As I am currently marooned at my girlfriend's house I discreetly hid this under the frozen peas in preparation for speedi sleeving tomorrow!

Not done but received today from Gordon and Wendy Lowe a "*&%^$ knuckles" badge made from an old door hinges and a spanner.  Also in today's post a door latch bought from eBay for £10 and it is almost new.  Just like a birthday.

Made an incompetent attempt to change my rear diff pinion oil seal.
Dropped off the prop shaft and the drive flange and then got in a panic because I thought the pinion bearing had collapsed, as it was all wobbly.
Of course it is fine, it just goes loose when the drive flange comes off.. but I didn't think straight at the time.
So I dropped the diff out to try and see what was going on...
Then I worked out the bearing was fine of course.
Then I made a hash of putting the new seal in - and got confused about which way I was even trying to put it in.
And I don't have a new diff gasket handy to put the diff back in again when I get the seal in.. will have to wait for one to arrive in the post.
What an eejit!
On the plus side, having drained the diff of oil, it was fairly manky and I can give it a good clean out of sludge if there is any.
So it will get nice new oil as well as a seal, and the cogs still look AOK.

Under £11 for the sleeve from eBay was a bonus.

More work on the tub - 2nd rear panel replaced, brackets added, countersink rivet holes filled.  I have now got to template some reinforcing brackets to strengthen the front and back of the wheel arches.  Also, ran out of rivets (again...)

FYI - to replace floor, front reinforcing strip and rear panels needs around 200 counter sink rivets...

Do you happen to have a link to the speedi sleeve you used Gres?
