Disconnected the battery as its going to be a while untill I'm safe to drive. Rotator cuff tear surgery. Still the hard tops in the garden make a good table.

Fitted a new fuse box. The 'spring' on the old one wasn't holding the fuses securely and one fell out. Causing a bit of consternation as it was the one feeding the ignition switched feeds. This made the oil pressure gauge go to zero.

Pulled her out of the bushes and jet washed her down.
Long list of jobs to do but the engine still turns over and the chassis paint is peeling off to reveal the coat of smoothrite that I applied in 1993. That’s solidly attached to the chassis and going nowhere.

Another tip run with garden waste.  We can still only take trailers by appointment.  On then to the garden centre for SWMBO to buy some more plants that will produce even more garden waste.

All our garden waste gets composted, even grass cuttings.

We dont have space to compost all our garden waste but we do all our veg peelings etc.  We dont have a lawn, just loads of shrubs and flowers.

It is a good excuse to go out for a ride in the land rover.

Start taking stuff home from the tip Peter Then you might not go as often. And there's always that track to the right of the entrance you can drive on and i think Burgh Hall Rd too.

Vegetable peelings are composted. Hedge cuttings are incinerated and the ash sieved and used on the garden.
The lawn cuttings have so much bindweed in them that they're left on the lawns.
I can't remember the last time I visited the tip. I registered the Land Rover with Hants CC so I could get in but have never tried to since.
