Hello all

I pleased to buy a motor with the number 151 123 907

the dealer said to me its a 8:1 compression
Am i wrong?
i thought all the time these motors are 7:1 compression

Thanks for brining light in my brain :stars

The compression ratio may be lower for export vehicles - it'll depend on the quality of fuel likely to be available, if in doubt supply low compression vehicles.

That would be if the head had been changed. The alternative is that the head could have been skimmed down to increase compression. No easy way to check this without taking it apart  ???

The only way to be sure what you have is to measure the height of the head.

There is a recent topic on 9:1 compression heads and some head heights given.

This thread:

but I would think you would need to take the head off to be confident of the measurement?
