I re-registered the other day, and then tried to log in just now, and it said I didn't exist! So tried again, hopefully it will work this time.

Just received a PM with notification of new Forum. Thanks, all set up.
It states, however that you can still browse the old one. Unfortunately I’m one of those who’ve been cut off since last month. Can’t get beyond the index.
Not complaining, someone’s obviously been moving mountains to get this up and running. :geek

Yes - some users can still see and work in the old forum.
Others can't and get a database error message.

Hence our move.

And whilst those who can see the old forum can post - they won't get any answers ???

Forget the old forum and post here  :first

Bizarley my group email/newletter gave the wrong URL for the forum  :thud
I have trouble seeing and working in the old forum  >:(

All attached images for me seem to be corrupt. upon clicking they download and regardless of what imaging software I use they do not open and are flagged as corrupt.

Update: not all, some open but are corrupted, some that are embedded in posts work ok. There seems to be quite a lot that are corrupted though.

Hi,
For instance under: Historical & Registration info
  • I cant open any of the attachments under "Original finish on parts" thread.
  • The "MoT exemptions" thread - the attachment is a yellow image with distorted blocks that is not legible.
  • Under "Series 2 chassis numbers" the embedded images linked from the gallery work fine.
  • and all the images under the new post "1961 S2 2L Diesel Reference Photos" work fine.

I am running Chrome and Windows 10 and have tried opening the images (Land Rover Vehicle Colours 1959.jpg from the first thread for instance) with a few different bits of software without luck - they either report the filetype is not supported or is corrupt.

So it seems its something with much older attachements.

Im about to see if I can login to the old forum and see if they are ok there.

Thanks for all your hard work on the forum - its a fantastic resource.
Best
Chris

OK

I see what's happened.
These are images posted as attachments on the 5th/6th August when we "lost" a day's forum business.

We can restore these images.

They are still on the old forum - assumimg it's working for you.

We will transfer them back, and other content over the next few days/weeks.
