The news here tonight is that the Police have been out to various groups camping on the Lochside and are currently "dealing" with a group of dirt-bikers who saw fit to practise Speedway along the Forest Drive. Last weekend 21 people were done for assorted forms of anti-social behaviour.  Litter and damage locally featured on BBC news reports after last weekend.

Todays news.... We did a "community litter pick", collected over 30 bin-bags along the main road, meanwhile so many people turned up to walk up Ben A'an, a local honey-pot tourist spot, that they were parked all over he place, dangerous.... so the Police closed the road !

The paperwork for turning that stretch of road into a "Clearway" is grinding along, published in the papers, people now have x weeks to object...

Hi,l

Is there any such "charge" as COMMITTING A CIVIL OFFENCE WHILE USING A MOTOR VEHICLE ?

If there was, it might concentrate a few minds, particularly if it involved an endorsement that had to be declared to your insurers.

Excellent initiative, if everyone acted like this, this planet would be a much more pleasant place.
My congratulations :-* :-*

Last weekend the road had a temporary Parking restriction applied, over 12 miles long. The actual "Clearway" will be in place soon.  The picture is not clear but that is a Police van that was patrolling the area all day on Sat.

....the guy who parked between two cones might just have annoyed them :-)

Clearway doesnt stop them round here. nor a £30 fine. Needs to be points on license for dangerous parking.

Hi,

A motor vehicle on a Public Right of Way requires a V5 Registration Document, Registration Plates, and Insurance. (Insurance would imply they have a driving licence that can be endorsed).

I presume that includes vehicles that have been "abandoned".
